Future.Travel will begin offering 1% of the purchase transaction value back in the form of a BTC-rebate on eligible transactions made online from the 1 May 2020 through the remainder of 2020 calendar year until 31 December 2020.

The Future.Travel BTC-rebate to the customer is paid 30 days after initial purchase payment is made on an eligible transaction via a Lightning Network transfer in Bitcoin to the purchasers Lighting Network enabled wallet. For first time digital wallet users, Future.Travel is suggesting the ‘Wallet of Satoshi’ from Brisbane Australia company 'Living Room of Satoshi Pty Ltd' as it is easy to set up and offers multiple fiat currency conversions for reference.

Purchasers can request the rebate for eligible hotel and flight ticket purchases made online using Future.Travel’s online chat system. Customers need to include the passengers/guests name and booking reference number in the request. Once confirmed, Future.Travel will request a Lighting Network invoice from the customer for payment of the BTC-rebate. Claims for the rebate must be made within 90 days of the purchase date and in the event of a purchase cancellation rebates paid are subtracted from any refund returned to purchaser. Eligible transactions are direct bookings on the Future.Travel website where no referring site or affliliate passed the customer to the Future.Travel website and no other Future.Travel based discount has been provided for in the booking/payment process. It can be combined with credit card's that provide card based 'cash back' programmes.

David Watson, General Director of Future.Travel said: “Getting a rebate on travel is a bonus that cuts costs. The ability to get 1% back on a purchase combined with a credit card rebate, combined with our low cost fares and offers, makes the 1% rebate even more beneficial. The icing on the cake is getting the rebate back directly to your own digital wallet for spending or hoarding. For many customers this rebate will be their first experience using a digital wallet and holding value in a cryptocurrency. Future.Travel looks to make their customers first cryptocurrency experience a good one, a simple one, with no risk to the customer for getting introduced to using Bitcoin via the Lightning Network.”

Watson continued: “For long term users of cyptocurrency, and Bitcoin in particular, the BTC-rebate is a way to leverage a purchase to put a few more Satoshi’s aside for future travel and savings. For the first time crypto holder, it is a chance to get a stake in the ‘new age gold’ that is changing the way the world looks at the transfer of value.”
