They answer this question is actually depend upon the airline.

Low-cost carriers, or budget airlines, Generally do not provide children based fares because the child is actually taking up a seat.

In practice most full-service airlines provide a child’s fair. The amount of the fair is very young, but as a rule of thumb it works something like this:

  1. Children under two years old while sitting in the lap of the adult is 10% of the airline adult fare. Children under two who take up a seat or charged 75% of the adult fare. Some low-cost carriers remove the fee for children if they are sitting in the lap of the adult.
  2. Children between the ages of two and 12 years old or charged 75% of the adult fare.

At Future.Travel we are very transparent in pricing so you may see the exact price that a child is being charge for a seat.
